Last month, Southern Careers Institute announced that it received $6.3 million in CARES Act funds to provide needs-based grants to students, and to improve the school’s online and distance learning functionality. Students receiving the grant money can use it toward education expenses, food and housing, helping relieve some financial burdens so that they can fully focus on completing their education.
