Jason is Hopi and Isleta and is deeply connected to Native American communities throughout the U.S. He is also a marketing wizard who has been with UC from the inception. Jason serves as vice president and chief operating officer for the agency. Ana Pereira
Ana is a communications and public relations professional who understands the importance of creating multilingual and multicultural campaigns to connect diverse populations. Her professional experience includes working with Senator John McCain on his 2016 campaign, as well as with corporate, non-profit and government organizations to manage their media and digital communications efforts.
Prior to joining the Urias Communications team, she contributed to the marketing, public relations and event planning efforts for organizations such as the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and CPLC’s Arizona GED Day education initiative. Ana has a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston. She has over ten years of experience as a news reporter and anchor in major news markets across the country. Ana is on the board of directors of the Children’s Museum of Phoenix.

Cassidy Rue

Cassidy is a millennial who has grown up with a cell phone in hand, who can often be found crafting a tweet or posing for Instagram. Cassidy is responsible for handling digital and social media for our UC clients, as well as client event planning and coordinating with the PR team on media engagement. She has extensive experience working with our education clients, like Maricopa Community Colleges, Gateway Community College’s Runway to Success fundraising event, and most notably, Achieve60AZ. Cassidy, a first generation college student, graduated from Arizona State University in 2017 with degrees in marketing, business communication and a minor in media analysis.

Becky Antioco

Becky is a storyteller at heart. Through brand development, copywriting, blogging, and magazine writing, she’s been helping organizations tell their stories for more than 25 years.
She has worked with leading brands in multiple industries – including insurance, finance, wellness, travel and tourism, education, and automotive – to develop and maintain the right tone and voice to effectively communicate with their target audiences. Prior to working with Urias Communications, she was the creative services manager and editor in chief for AAA Arizona, and communications manager for the Arizona Lodging & Tourism Association. Becky has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

Jolie Hicks

Jolie has over 30 years of experience in media planning/buying and account management, on both sides of the business aisle – agency and client. She develops strategic media plans targeted to the specific markets our clients need to reach, and utilizes sophisticated tracking tools to provide detailed monthly reporting on campaign performance measures. Jolie received a Bachelor of Science in advertising from Arizona State University and has worked on a wide range of accounts from automobile dealerships to state and city tourism accounts.

Shirley Springer

Shirley is a bilingual and bicultural individual with a natural curiosity for learning and mastering new skills. She provides account support with a variety of clients, bringing with her previous experience and education to assist the firm in various capacities. Her attention to detail, resourcefulness, and communication skills allow her to better support the team and clients. In addition, Shirley is a Spanish translation specialist for the agency. Her Spanish education and bicultural upbringing in particular have allowed her to contribute to UC with translation and transcreation services.

Carlos Chavez

Carlos is a first-generation American of Mexican-Portuguese heritage whose diverse background and creative talent have helped him forge a successful career as a producer, director, and event activator throughout the Southwest. He earned a degree in production and motion graphics from the Art Institute of Phoenix, and specializes in the Hispanic and millennial general markets. Carlos prides himself on his humble beginnings and work ethic, having worked as a store clerk, at the swap meet, as a restaurant dishwasher and a construction worker, all before the age of 18. Carlos also serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona State University HBA Chapter, which raises much-needed scholarship funds for incoming ASU students.
